Licence-backed export of gold and rough diamonds — assay, valuation, duty, customs sealing and certification, handled end to end.
One desk, the whole pathway — documentation, assay, valuation, duty, customs sealing and insured freight.
Export is where most West African transactions quietly fall apart. Nova Parameter runs the entire clearance chain under our own licence, coordinating directly with the National Minerals Agency, the Government Gold & Diamond Office, the Precious Minerals Trading Directorate and the National Revenue Authority.
We prepare the Schedule B declaration, give the required 24-hour valuation notice, present goods for assay and valuation, settle the statutory duty at the Bank of Sierra Leone, and obtain the PMT/GGDO gold certificate or serial-numbered Kimberley certificate. The parcel is sealed before all authorised officers, ready for lawful departure without further opening.
Beyond execution, we advise buyers on documentation and destination-country requirements — because a parcel that clears Freetown and stalls at the other end has not actually cleared.

Exporting gold or diamonds from Sierra Leone is a regulated, multi-step process — and the single most common way buyers lose money is skipping it. Nova Parameter runs the entire lawful export chain in-house as a licensed NMA dealer and exporter: assay, government valuation, duty settlement, customs sealing, Kimberley Process or PMT/GGDO certification, and insured worldwide shipment, all from one desk.
Material is first assayed and valued before government officers. Statutory duty is paid to the National Revenue Authority. The parcel is sealed in the officers' presence and issued its certificate — a serial-numbered Kimberley certificate for rough diamonds, or a PMT/GGDO certificate for gold. Only then is it released for insured export. Because each step is witnessed and documented, the shipment stands up to customs scrutiny in the destination country.
This is the documentation trail that separates a lawful Sierra Leone minerals purchase from a risky one. We would rather answer every question before a transaction than manage a dispute after one.
Dig into the numbers: gold export duty & taxes sets out every statutory charge with a worked example, gold price in Sierra Leone explains how value is fixed, and the Kimberley Process covers conflict-free certification for rough.
